Janice Barnes was born about 1949 in Decatur Macon County Illinois, middle of three daughters of Bud Barnes and Hope (later Hope Deister): eldest sister Judy (Farmer), Janice, and youngest sister Jill (Barnes Bohn). Janice first married William John 'Bill' Hindman (b. 12 December 1945 Syracuse NY), and they had a son Brant Hindman. Bill and Janice later divorced; Bill went on to marry Pam Mathis (mother of Brant's half-siblings Jason and Shawna) and then Kathy. Janice subsequently married William Lorenz, her current husband. Living as of 2026. Brant Hindman's mother.
