Born September 1777 in Loudoun County, Virginia, during the Revolutionary War. Father: Joseph Hardin (28 at the time, who registered for military service in 1781). Mother: Elizabeth Pressley (23). Married Sarah 'Sallie' Sears 27 September 1803 in Loudoun. Ten children (5 sons + 5 daughters). Migrated to Bath County, Kentucky. Died there 9 March 1858, age 80.
