Revolutionary War service recorded by DAR with notice that future applicants must prove correct service (a Capt Robert Sears of Wythe Co VA received bounty land in 1805 but evidence of residence there is lacking — there may be conflated records). Multiple DAR applications established through descendants including via daughter Margaret who married Henry Harding.
