Sir William Ewing II, Baron

also: Sir William Ewing II · William Ewing the Baron

Born 1 July 1625 in Stirlingshire, Scotland (same shire as Brant's Baird ancestors). Father: Baron William James Ewing (per FS, age 10 at this Sir William's birth — likely an FS recording error). Mother: Esther Bailey Thomson. Married Baroness Elizabeth Milford in 1643 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Thirteen children (9 sons + 4 daughters). As a Scottish noble, took up Plantation lands in Ulster: lived Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland in 1684. Died 18 February 1718 in County Donegal, Ireland, age 92. Buried Londonderry, County Londonderry. His title 'Baron' is a Scottish lairdship, not the English peerage equivalent.
